Calf Rests
GS Adventure · R1250

The straight‑leg ride.

Calf Rests bolt to your crash bars and hold your legs out straight, so you can stretch on the long highway stretches. Your knees open up, your hips relax, and the next 200 miles feel like the first 20.

01  The problem

Four hundred miles in, your knees quit before you do.

The GSA puts your knees at a tight bend all day. Highway pegs move your feet forward, but your legs still hang from your hips. Calf Rests support the leg itself, so the muscles can finally switch off.

Stock pegs ~90°

Knees locked at a right angle. Fine for an hour, stiff after four.

Better angle, but the weight of your leg is still on your hips and hamstrings.

Calf Rests calf supported

Legs out straight, calves carried on an angled plate. Nothing to hold up, nothing to clench.

Diagrams are illustrative. Angles vary with rider height and seat position.

Bolts on. Nothing to drill.

04  How they're made

Cut by fiber laser. Built to last.

Every plate is laser-cut from sheet steel, formed to its riding angle, and finished in matte black to match the GSA's hardware.

Plain, numbered, or one of a kind.

Because every plate is laser-cut, we can cut your race number, initials, or a simple design right through the steel.

06  Fitment

Will it fit my bike?

The Calf Rest clamp is sized for 1″ (25.4 mm) tube, the diameter of BMW’s OEM crash bars on every water-cooled R1200 and R1250 GS and GSA. If your bars are 1″, the clamp will go on.

“Fits” means the clamp fits and the riding position is tested. “Clamp fits” means the tube is the right size, but bar shape changes where the plate lands, so set the angle before your first ride.

Not sure? Measure the outside of your bar with calipers where it passes over the cylinder head. Anything from 25 to 25.4 mm is a fit. Or send us a photo of your bars and we’ll tell you.

Already running 1″ accessories? If highway pegs or auxiliary-light clamps sized for 1″ / 25 mm bars fit your crash bars, Calf Rests will too.

Ride smart

Calf Rests are for relaxed highway cruising.

  • Put your feet back on the pegs for braking, traffic, curves and anything off-pavement.
  • Check the clamp bolts before every ride.
  • Get comfortable with the position in a parking lot before taking it to the highway.
07  Questions

Straight answers

How are Calf Rests different from highway pegs?

Highway pegs give your feet a new place to sit. Calf Rests support the back of your lower leg, so your leg can stay straight without your hips and hamstrings holding it up.

Do they replace my foot pegs?

No. Your stock pegs stay exactly where they are. Calf Rests mount on the crash bars and give you a second position for long straight roads.

Will they fit my height?

The plate rotates on the clamp, so you set the angle to your leg length. They adjust to fit riders of different heights, and a tiny adjustment will make a big difference in comfort.

Do they come as a pair?

Yes, left and right, with all mounting hardware included.

Can I get a custom number or design?

Yes. Tell us your number, initials or design when you order, and we'll cut it into both plates.

When can I buy them?

We're finishing the first production run. Join the launch list and you'll get launch pricing before anyone else.
